GemPages Affiliate Program Agreement

1.  Application Submission

Upon submission of your application to join the Program via the designated application form, we will review and evaluate your application. During this process, we may reach out to you and request additional information (besides those listed), including but not limited to questionnaires, assessments, or certifications. The purpose of this process is to assess your eligibility and alignment with the Program. Failure to receive a written response from us within thirty (30) days from the date of submission shall constitute a deemed rejection of the application, and we shall have no further obligation to provide reasoning or justification for such determination. You have the right to re-submit the application using the same email address, provided that you have made the necessary adjustments to align with GemPages’ eligibility criteria.

For all GemPages Affiliates, we will state our offer via email or other available means of communication provided by the company. If the prospective Affiliate does not reply within thirty (30) days from the date of transmission, we consider the offer to be rejected.

After being approved to join our Affiliate program, you will have full access to GemPages marketing materials. GemPages may feature top-performing affiliates in our newsletters or blog as part of our co-marketing efforts including but not limited to:

1.  Commissions

You receive a recurring commission based on the customer’s first purchase and the tier of the product purchased. Accordingly, you will be entitled to a lifetime commission equivalent to 25% of the paid subscription value after deducting 20% Shopify’s service fee.

The Commission shall be calculated based on the net value of the Qualifying Purchases, after deducting 20% Shopify’s service fee. This fee is applied to the actual amount received, after all discounts, promotions, or price adjustments.

Any additional programs, such as Multi-Store Discount, Nonprofit (etc.), cannot be combined with the Affiliate Program.

You cannot refer yourself and will not receive a commission on your own accounts. There is also a limit of one commission per referral. If someone clicks the link on your site and orders multiple accounts, you will only receive a commission on the first order.

The available commission is displayed on your Dashboard.

There is no time limit for commissions as long as the Affiliate Lead you referred to GemPages continues to be a paying customer.

2.  Pending

After a period of 30 days from the date of a Qualifying Purchase made for monthly or yearly subscriptions, the commission will be granted, but it could be adjusted or revoked based on whether the referral continues with their subscription or decides to cancel and receive a refund.

Commissions that have been approved will be displayed in the “Balance” section of your Affiliate Dashboard. Those still undergoing the 30-day review period will be listed under the “Pending” section.

3.  Payout

To receive a payout for your commission, you must have a PayPal account associated with the email address you used to sign up for GemPages. If your PayPal email address differs, you can change it by clicking the “Settings” icon in your Dashboard.

All commission payouts are processed exclusively via PayPal. It is expressly stated that requests for alternative payment methods, including but not limited to bank transfers or e-wallets, will not be accepted under any circumstances, regardless of the reason provided by the Affiliate. Affiliates are responsible for ensuring that the PayPal account is active, accurate, and capable of receiving funds. In the event that a transaction failure, reversal, or any associated fee arises due to errors, limitations, or restrictions from the Affiliate's PayPal account, the Affiliate shall bear full responsibility for all such costs.

To receive a payout, you must submit a request through your Affiliate Dashboard. Requests must be submitted no later than the 24th of each month. Approved payouts will be processed in the first week of the following month. Once the payment is made, PayPal will send you a confirmation. Please note that your balance must be at least $50 to request a payout.

In case the balance is less than your payout request due to an adjustment of your commissions, we reserve the right to cancel your request.

You are responsible for all reversals, chargebacks, claims, fees, fines, penalties, and other liability incurred when requesting any payments.

4.  Commission Adjustments

4.1  Upgrade & Downgrade Plan

You are eligible to receive additional commissions based on the incremental value if a customer upgrades to a higher-tiered plan. Conversely, if the customer downgrades to a lower-tiered plan, the corresponding difference will be deducted from your commission.

4.2  Refunded Purchases

Valid Referrals will be included with each commission payout. If a purchase is refunded or charge-backed, a commission will not be paid out for that referral.

We reserve the right to make adjustments to your commission balance at any time. In the event of an overpayment, refund, chargeback, or other disqualifying circumstance, the corresponding amount will be deducted from your future commission earnings. You will not be required to remit any funds directly; however, your balance may reflect a negative amount until the adjustment is offset.

We may, at our sole discretion, reject Affiliate partner commissions for any reason.

5.  Inactive Accounts & Commission Forfeiture

An Affiliate account is considered inactive if no visits have been generated after a one-year period and will then be permanently deleted.

The Affiliate Partner acknowledges that, upon the deletion or termination of your account, whether initiated by you or by us, all remaining balance (if any) shall be permanently cleared and deemed forfeited. No payouts or refunds shall be made for such commission amounts following account deletion.

GemPages encourages all our Affiliates to actively promote GemPages to keep earning referrals. Please let us know if we can help you develop ideas on how to promote GemPages.

This Agreement is applicable as long as you participate in the Affiliate Partner Program until terminated.

2.  Termination 

We reserve the right to revoke Affiliate status before and after being approved for any reason or choose whether to provide an explanation or reason to revoke Affiliate status. Your Affiliate application and status in the Program may be suspended or terminated for any of the following reasons:

In addition to the foregoing, GemPages reserves the right to terminate any Affiliate account at any time, for any violations of this Agreement or any reason.
