How GemPages Dynamic Triggers Elevate Your Sales Funnels
GemPages' Sales Funnel feature has been a transformative tool for Shopify store owners, enabling them to build high-converting funnels with ease. Now, this powerful tool has been upgraded with a new feature: Dynamic Trigger.
Our new release helps sellers to configure multiple conditions and products to guide buyers seamlessly through their shopping journey. Plus, this upgrade helps sellers personalize customer experiences, boost engagement, and drive conversions.
In this article, we’ll explain how Dynamic Triggers work and explore the benefits they bring to your Shopify store.
What Are Dynamic Triggers?
Dynamic Triggers are pre-set conditions that activate post-purchase offers based on customer orders. For example:
- Trigger a post-purchase offer if the order includes any product from a specific collection.
- Trigger a post-purchase offer for high-ticket products when the customer’s order value exceeds $10,000.
Why Upgrade Sales Funnel with Dynamic Triggers?
In eCommerce, personalization is key to meeting modern customer expectations. Dynamic Triggers allow sellers to:
- Set Flexible Conditions: Create tailored triggers that guide buyers to post-purchase offers, enhancing their shopping experience.
- Clear Slow-Moving Inventory: Pair underperforming products with best-sellers or hot items, encouraging customers to purchase them.
- Optimize Revenue: Seamlessly integrate conditions that increase cart value and improve overall funnel performance.
Overview of Dynamic Trigger in the Sales Funnel
As you can see that there are two types of sales funnels in the GemPages Editor, however, Dynamic Trigger is currently working in the first type, which does not include the Sales Page.
Upon landing in the editor, select the first type to continue set up your funnel and explore our new feature: Dynamic Trigger

How to custom your trigger with GemPages
Let’s first get used to these new definitions:
5 types of condition to setup |
Status for each condition |
How it works |
1. Product in collection(s) (You can select 1 or more collections) |
|
If you set up “Product in Collection” is “Jan new”, any product in your order belonging to the “Jan new” collection will lead customers to the upsell page. If you set up Product in Collection is not “Jan new”, your customers’ order must not contain any product in “Jan new” to be led to post-purchase pages. |
2. Product price (Set conditions on the price of a specific product) |
|
Fill in your benchmark price |
3. Specific product (This condition helps sellers create bundles for their offers) |
|
Basically, if you set up Specific Product is “A Bowl” (for example), the customers’ order must be included this Bowl to be displayed the post-purchase offer If you set up a Specific Product is not “A Bowl”, the customers’ order must NOT include this Bowl to be displayed in the post-purchase offer. Pro trick: This condition helps sellers create bundles for their offers. How? For example, you set Specific product is A Bowl and Specific product is a Dish. This means the buyer's order must include both products. Once this condition is met, this bundle will lead buyers to your post-purchase offer. |
4. Order value (Set conditions for total order value without tax, shipping fee) |
|
Fill in your benchmark price |
5. Total item (Set conditions for the number of products in the order) |
|
Fill in your benchmark price |
Additional condition to set up
- And: For setup of 2 or more conditions. With “and”, the customer order must satisfy all conditions for the post-purchase offer to appear.
- Or: For setup of 2 or more conditions. With “or”, the customer order only needs to satisfy 1 of the trigger conditions for the post-purchase offer to appear.
Set “and” if you want the buyer’s order to meet all the conditions, set “or” if you want your buyer’s order meet one of the conditions.
Upon completing your Dynamic Trigger setup, “Save trigger” and move to setup your post-purchase offer. Follow our Blog Posts or Help Center Articles to setup your Upsell/downsell offer.
Important Note: If you set multiple conditions connected by "And", the customer's order must include products that meet all the conditions. These conditions can be met by either: One product that satisfies all the conditions, or multiple products that, together, satisfy all the conditions.
For example, if your conditions are:
Product price is greater than $1000 And Product collection is “Collection A”
These cases of order will meet the conditions:
-
- An order contains one product that costs over $1000, at the same time, belongs to "Collection A"
- An order contains at least two products: one from "Collection A" and another priced over $1000.
If you only need a specific product to trigger the offer, you can use the "Specific Order" trigger instead. Please note that changing trigger type will lead to delete all the conditions of other types.
Popular Use Cases For this Feature
Common cases where you can apply Dynamic trigger setup for your sales funnel can be:
-
Display a post-purchase offer only for orders with a total value over $1000
→ Set the condition: Order value is greater than $1000. -
Display a post-purchase offer only for orders containing products from Collection B
→ Set the condition: Product collection is Collection B. -
Display a post-purchase offer for orders with 5 or more items
→ Set the condition: Total items is greater than or equal to 5. -
Etc.
All of these cases are aimed at helping merchants sell more products, increase AOV, CR and boost the whole store revenue.
Conclusion
In this upgrade, GemPages is aimed directly at Shopify merchants, because the Dynamic trigger feature gives more granular control over the entire sales funnel. By setting up products that lead to post-purchase pages, merchants can find winning products and better understand their products, as well as their customers.
